Tarsus has been the owner and organiser of Off-Price shows, a series of exhibitions for the Off-Price (below wholesale) clothing and accessories industries in Las Vegas, since 1999. These events are supported by Off-Price Apparel, the premier trade magazine for the industry. The Off-Price business is growing in the USA and worldwide, driven by an increase in demand for discount goods and the proliferation of out-of-town shopping malls.
The Off-Price exhibitions connect buyers and sellers in the discount clothing and accessories markets. Exhibitors are represented by jobbers, manufacturers, importers and wholesalers; buyers come from some of the largest discount retail chains as well as department stores and individual shops.
Overview
The Off-Price business is growing in the USA and worldwide, especially with the increase in demand for value-driven goods. Millions of dollars of business are transacted on-site. It is estimated that approximately 40% of the goods in the Off-Price apparel market are sourced or carried by the core group of exhibitors who display at every Off-Price Show. These vendors represent 60-70% of each Off-Price exhibition floor in Las Vegas, demonstrating that these events are “the nerve center” of the Off-Price fashion industry. As apparel manufacturers produce lower volumes in response to declines in the American economy, the Off-Price Show has become even more critical to retailers seeking better margins in today’s value-driven market.
Off-Price events
The Off-Price events are unique to the USA and are part of Las Vegas fashion week. They are the largest in the industry, with each event attracting over 10,000 buyers from 50 countries.
In 2010, Off-Price launched two new boutique style events in the heart of America’s major garment districts - New York and Los Angeles - during their respective market weeks. Appropriately named A Taste of Off-Price, each show attracted over 1,000 retailers and merchandisers and the feedback from both exhibitors and visitors was extremely positive.

The Off-Price events are supported by OFFPRICE Magazine, the premier trade publication for the industry and the news portal Offpricenews.com which enables merchandisers to get the latest industry news and read the print magazine in a new digital format.
