Ideal Homex Istanbul celebrates its busiest show to date

The eleventh Ideal Homex Housewares Fair took place at the TUYAP exhibition and congress centre 31st March – 3rd April, welcoming 25,167 visitors across four days and marking the busiest Ideal Homex Housewares Fair in Istanbul to date. The audience attendance was up over 6% on the previous year with international visitor numbers increasing by 2.5%.

Surpassing 25,000 visitors is a great milestone for show organizers Life Media, working in partnership with Tarsus Group, the world-renowned exhibition and media company. The outstanding attendance figures were testament to the resilience and continued growth of Turkey’s housewares industry, and the popularity of the show itself.

The opening day of the show saw 2016 trading get off to a flying start with a raft of new developments and hundreds of thousands of new product launches, including large displays from Karaca, Emsan, Keramika and Porland. Ideal Homex welcomed more exhibitors than ever before, a record number of over 300, including many of the best Turkish and international suppliers, who presented 50,000 new products across 9 categories:

Kitchenware, decorative products and giftware, electrical appliances, plastic, stainless steel products, glass, porcelain and ceramics, The Ideal Outlet and The Franchise and Retail Area.

Visitors praised the enormous variety of new products on offer at this essential show, which is the prime seasonalsourcing event in the Turkish retail calendar, second only to Zuchex Housewares and Gift Fair in its size and reach.

Hosting hundreds of brands the retail exhibition was perfectly pitched for both specialist housewares buyers, cookware stores and homewares retailers seeking the most covetable new products and brands.

The show also offered unrivalled networking opportunities, cutting-edge trend insights, and served as an ideal export and manufacturing hub for local and overseas traders.

In Hall 10 buyers had the chance to view the very latest products predicted to be the season’s top sellers at the Trend Display.

Also at Ideal Homex Life Media presented their Retail Innovation Awards (RIA’s) from The Franchise and Retail Area for the first time. Life Media MD Irfan Tiras presented category winners with a beautiful engraved glass trophy.
