Conference schedule boasts high profile aviation experts
Dubai, UAE. 31 January 2012 – The fourth edition of the successful Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO ME) show starts tomorrow 1 February with a two day conference that will bring leading industry experts together to explore and share best practices to develop fleets, improve ROI and reduce costs.
Produced by F&E Aerospace and Aviation Week, the two-day MRO ME conference and exhibition is running simultaneously with Aircraft Interiors Middle East (AIME) from 1 to 2 February 2012 at Dubai’s Airport Expo and more than 2,000 trade visitors are expected to attend.
The last maintenance, repair and overhaul event in 2011, drew more than 1,800 trade visitors to the two-day event and now, with an attractive conference agenda with some of the industries leading names in MRO, this years show is already surpassing all expectations already with over 2089 pre-registered attendees.
Lida Mantzavinou, Consulting Analyst, Commercial Aviation, Frost & Sullivan will be speaking during ‘The Changing Faces of Middle East MRO’ session on the first day of the conference, and will be discussing continuing growth in the Middle East MRO market and how it compares with other regions.
“The MRO industry in the Middle East is on an upward spiral, as is also the case with the Asia-Pacific region. The MRO market in the rest of the regions, such as Europe, North America, and Africa, is also going to grow but at a slower rate and smaller volumes, we expect the MRO market in the Middle East to reach around $7bn by 2020.”
Also on 1 February, Nasser AlSalmi, COO, Gulf Air will deliver the keynote address and will be concentrating on the current and future plans for Gulf Air, and recommendations in the region for MRO.
Simon Tate, CEO, JorAmCo will be the closing keynote speech on 2 February, and will look at how competition from third party MRO providers in the Middle East such as Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies (ADAT) and Turkish Technic is affecting independent MRO facilities.
Tate will also be discussing his theory of ‘adapt or fail’ on manpower - JorAmCo are looking to move into the future with training and development of employees that reflects market changes and technology advancement.
Other speakers in the MRO conference line-up include James Stewart, Group CEO, Mubadala Aerospace MRO network, Abdul Wahab Teffaha, Secretary General of AACO and Mary Ellen Jones, President, Engine Alliance.
The MRO exhibition will also see the return of 200 industry leading companies such as Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies (ADAT), Boeing, Lufthansa Technik, Bombardier, Pratt & Whitney and Rockwell Collins.
