Zuchex 2015 celebrates most successful edition in its history

Zuchex 2015 broke records across the board this October, cementing its position as Turkey’s most influential housewares trade event.

Celebrating its 26th edition, the four-day exhibition welcomed a spectacular 33,993 visitors, up 6.25% on 2014, and representing the highest attendance in the history of the event. The number of international exhibitors grew too, up 12% on the previous biggest year (2012), to 213. Overseas visitor attendance also rose 12%.

 

The event took place 01-04 October in Istanbul at the Tuyap Exhibition Center, and brought together industry professionals and potential buyers, creating a unique business platform for both exhibitors and visitors alike. Attracting a great amount of industry attention, Zuchex expanded not only in terms of the number of visitors and international exhibitors who attended, but also the number of stands booked and size of the overall show.

 

Welcoming 607 exhibitors and 3,213 professional purchasing managers from abroad, there was a 12.2% increase in overseas attendees. The total visitor numbers were 33,993, representing 91 countries.

                                                 

Iran, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Greece, Tunisia, Italy, Azerbaijan, Iraq and The Lebanon were the top 10 countries in terms of overseas buyer attendance, cementing Zuchex’s reputation as the key housewares event for those looking to target the lucrative Middle Eastern and Eurasian marketplaces. 

                                                 

Zuchex 2015 was a testament to both the resilience of the Turkish retail trade and the 607 suppliers who pulled out all the stops to put on such a superb showcase. Visitors praised the enormous variety of new products on offer at this essential show, which is the prime seasonal sourcing event in the Turkish retail calendar. The volume of orders placed by the many thousands of retailers, wholesalers, importers, exporters, manufacturers and multinational market directors involved in the housewares, giftware, and household goods sectors who visited the show far exceeded industry expectations.
