OFFPRICE Campus takes over lower level of Sands Expo

The OFFPRICE Show is becoming a campus in February 2014. While there won’t be a Quad or Rush Week activities, the apparel show’s popular Cash & Carry section will be relocated to the Casanova and Marco Polo ballrooms in the Sands Expo (Las Vegas, Nev.) Lower Level. The new location for Cash & Carry provides for additional growth to the show’s overall footprint in Hall G and creates a campus on the Lower Level of the Sands Expo. The ballrooms are located just past the Registration Desks, near the Venetian Transportation Area. By expanding into the ballrooms, OFFPRICE organizers are expecting the largest net-square footage floor in the show’s history. The show has grown from 10 vendors its inaugural year to more than 500. OFFPRICE takes place Feb. 16 – 19, 2014.

“The secret is out about OFFPRICE. You see articles in the newspapers; new stores opening, and more and more retailers are turning to OFFPRICE to fill voids on their racks,” said Stephen Krogulski, chief executive officer of OFFPRICE. “Everybody is seeking new ways to increase their store’s profits. Many items on our show floor are available at up to 70 percent below wholesale prices. In terms of price point, that’s nearly impossible to beat. The off-price industry continues to grow in popularity amongst retailers.”

Not only is the location of Cash & Carry in the ballrooms new in Feb. ’14, but the footwear exhibitors will be located in a new Footwear Pavilion, positioned just beyond the OP Bistro Express. The new locations create areas dedicated to helping buyers maximize their time at OFFPRICE. Exhibitors make spring and summer products widely available at the February show. Swimwear, flip flops, resort wear, sundresses, and sunglasses are expected to be amongst the hottest selling items.

Since OFFPRICE is an order-writing show, products purchased at the show can be in retailers’ stores less than a week later. The busiest days of the show are the first two days of its four-day run. Typically, that is when the best deals are found in the booths throughout the floor.

As the show floor has grown, so has the show’s reach. Buyers from around the world now attend OFFPRICE as they have discovered how vital the show is to their store’s bottom line. Buyers from Central America, the Caribbean, Africa, Europe and South America all attend OFFPRICE. Retailers include boutiques, national off-price chains, hotel gift shops, dollar stores, entertainment parks, and more.

A Taste of OFFPRICE show (May 4-6, 2014) is the next opportunity for buyers to find the best values in the apparel industry. The market-sized show takes place in New York City’s Garment District at Gotham Hall.
