Soles4Souls Partners with OFFPRICE Show to Wear Out Poverty
(Brookfield, Wisc. July 19, 2018) Non-profit Soles4Souls has joined forces with the OFFPRICE Show to combine networks, share resources, and create new solutions for the retail industry. The EPA estimates that only 15% of footwear and clothing in the U.S. is recycled. Soles4Souls disrupts the cycle of poverty by repurposing new and gently-worn shoes and clothing, keeping them out of landfills and instead utilizing them to create sustainable jobs and provide relief to those in need around the world. Since 2006, the organization has distributed clothing and more than 30 million pairs of shoes in 127 countries and all 50 states.
At the OFFPRICE Show this August 11-14 in Las Vegas, Nevada, sellers will be introduced to the organization to combine their missions beyond the trade show. Buddy Teaster, CEO of Soles4Souls, will speak at the educational seminars scheduled for the second and third days of the show.

“In addition to the free distribution of new footwear and apparel, Soles4Souls repurposes secondhand product to create sustainable jobs in developing countries,” says Teaster. “We’re so excited to partner with OFFPRICE next month and make new valuable connections in the off-price channel.”
These new relationships will begin building awareness and action in communities across the globe. “Through this collaboration with Soles4Souls, we’re hoping to jumpstart a new conversation within our industry and off-price sector,” says Stephen Krogulski, CEO of the OFFPRICE Show. “We want to do our part to help change current practices in the industry, but also get the word out that resources are available.”
