Tarsus Group is recruiting a Senior Marketing Executive to assist our GESS Portfolio team, on a full time, permanent-basis. The successful candidate would be managing social media, website and digital content, handling email marketing, assisting with design and production, and liaising with exhibitors.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Creating and implementing social media plans to create engaging content for the GESS social media presence across all channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Linkedin
  • Keeping channels updated and brand focused and seeking out new social media avenues and ways of connecting with audiences both existing and new to amplify content
  • Using timelines and scheduled content to create a consistent stream of new content for audience interaction while analysing, managing, and altering schedules where necessary to optimise visits and engagement
  • Working with other departments to create dynamic written, graphic, and video content that promotes audience interaction and encourages audience participation

  • Proposing new ideas and concepts for social media and website content to stay on top of key social media trends
  • Updating websites: ensuring content, exhibitor lists and programmes are up-to-date and accurate
  • Researching and come up with ideas for articles, blogs and social media posts – liaising with contributors to provide some content and creating original content

  • Updating conference programmes are update and correct on website
  • Ensuring speaker information is accurate and up-to-date on website and other marketing materials
  • Maintaining websites to ensure all pages are optimised, websites are designed correctly for mobile, content is up to date and performing well
  • Carrying out weekly health check of websites, ensuring content is up-to-date and accurate and reporting monthly
  • Working with the web and marketing team to ensure that our website templates always follow the latest best practice and allows us to communicate relevant information in the most efficient way
  • Managing all Google Analytics reporting
  • Managing all visprom and exprom digital campaign with digital team
  • Preparing mailings (including mail merges) for all shows
  • Creating bi-monthly GESS Talks newsletter
  • Assisting in producing finished HTML emails – including suggestions for content, copywriting and relevant reporting – for both sales and visprom
  • Collating key stats and metrics for monthly marketing reports
  • Staying on top of email best practice, testing of emails and works with web team
  • Ensuring that exhibitor sponsorship requirements are fulfilled
  • Supporting the Sales team with exhibitor marketing
  • Ensuring all exhibitor digital packages are managed and fulfilled
  • Communicating with exhibitors to ensure that they are aware of all marketing opportunities and provide materials in a timely fashion
  • Assisting the marketing team with the design and production of show collateral including: Brochures, booking forms, printed floorplans, printed graphics, adverts etc.
  • Proofing, copywriting and making necessary amends to all marketing material
  • Creating design briefs for pieces of collateral and working with the design team to implement
  • Ensuring that materials are produced on agreed timelines and in line with key marketing timelines

Essential Experience

  • Good computer literacy including full knowledge of Microsoft office products as well as Google products and social media
  • Knowledge of social media and email marketing best practices
  • Excellent written English and communication skills both in terms of copywriting and communication, with an eye for detail
  • Confidence in creating and implementing social media content across all channels
